About me

  • I was born in England and didn't have a strong connection to the outdoors until I got the chance to ski at 10 years old. That experience meant so much to me that I dreamed of becoming a ski instructor. At 22, I moved to Canada in December 2019, but the pandemic hit soon after, and I felt lost. Then, I found a new passion among the trees in North Vancouver.

    Trail running! With as much naivety as passion, my friend and I set a goal to run the Vancouver Marathon route followed by the infamous Knee Knacker route on back-to-back days in September 2020, totaling a 96k challenge. After accomplishing our goal, I was fully in. Skiing became my winter passion, and running became my identity. It has allowed me to learn so much about myself and become the person I am today.

    I met my partner Barb, a fellow trail runner, in June 2021. Just months after we met, we completed an 84k ultra marathon together. Meeting Barb cemented my place in Canada, and I haven't looked back since. Now, I call Kelowna, BC, home, landscaping in the summer and ski instructing in the winter.
